Serj Tankian New Video - Praise The Lord, Pass The Ammunition

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian will be filming a video for his solo track "Praise The Lord, Pass The Ammunition" at an undisclosed venue in Hollywood, CA on Monday, August 27th with director Greg Watermann (Mudvayne, Lamb Of God). The following bulletin was posted for those interested in attending and taking part in the shoot:
"The story is a wacky art-performance, starring his brother Sevag.
He's the MC for the controversy happening on-stage, while hard-core
fans are losing their minds in the audience. We need all kinds of people
and all ages for this video, everything from the choir to the mosh pit.
And yes, you'll get to hear the song - it's amaZing. Serj says it's
the craziest song on the disc... that's why he gave it to me.
We'll be limiting it to the first 100 guys and 100 girls who send
us their information.
It's going to be out of control.

Serj Tankian's debut solo effort "Elect The Dead" will see an October 23rd release date through Serjical Strike/Reprise.

All That Remains - DVD artwork

The artwork for All That Remains' upcoming live DVD outing has been posted online here. The effort is expected out through Prosthetic in October. In other news, the band are reportedly planning to mount a trek with As I Lay Dying, Haste The Day and Through The Eyes Of the Dead in November. So far the only dates that have been announced include:

Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero (Vinil), HIM - Bleed Well (video)

The vinyl edition of Nine Inch Nails' latest release "Year Zero" has been pushed back to an August 28th release date.

H.I.M. have posted a clip of the video for their track "Bleed Well" online here. Included within the video is a secret code which will unlock another video from the band over at www.heartagram.com. "Bleed Well" will be included on H.I.M.'s upcoming new album "Venus Doom". which will see a September 18th release date.

Still Remains have started a cooking show and have been posting episodes of it online here. The band released their new album "The Serpent" through Roadrunner earlier this month.

As I Lay Dying's entire new album "An Ocean Between Us" has been posted online here. The effort will see a release through Metal Blade this coming Tuesday, August 21st.

A wealth of details have been released for Ministry's upcoming covers album "Cover Up", which will feature guest appearances from members of Static-X, Fear Factory and more. You can find more on the effort here. Currently Ministry are set to release their final studio album "The Last Sucker" through 13th Planet Recordings on September 18th.

Avenged Sevenfold have posted more in-studio footage online here. The band are set to release their new self-titled album on October 16th. In the meantime, a clip of the bands new track "Critical Acclaim" has been posted online here. In addition to being featured on the bands forthcoming new album, the aforementioned track will see a release on Itunes and other digital stores on August 28th.

Atreyu's video for their current single "Becoming The Bull" has been posted online here. The song comes from the bands new album "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", which will see an August 28th release date through Hollywood.

Burnt By The Sun, Car Bomb - Split 7″ Sees Release

Relapse Records artists BURNT BY THE SUN and CAR BOMB have paired up for a split 7″ release. The split features the first new material from BURNT BY THE SUN in over three years, “Goliath,” and CAR BOMB tracks “M^6” and “Pieces of You.” The 7″ is limited to 1000 and is available in red or orange vinyl. BURNT BY THE SUN recently posted “Goliath” on their MySpace page, along with photos from the “Goliath” recording session.

The CAR BOMB tracks “M^6” and “Pieces of You” can also be heard on their MySpace page. CAR BOMB are currently rounding out their first U.S. tour in support of their Relapse debut Centralia. A listing of tour dates can be found online here with more to be announced soon.

According to ProSoundNews, The Mars Volta are currently recording their new album "The Bedlam In Goliath" in California with the bands own Omar Rodriguez-Lopez producing. A fall release date is expected while more on the album can be found at the aforementioned link.

Dillinger Escape Plan New Drummer

The Dillinger Escape Plan have completed tracking the drums for their new album "Ire Works". The band tapped drummer Gil Sharone of Stolen Babies fame to handle the drums in the studio for them, having parted ways with their drummer Chris Pennie earlier this year. An update on that can be found here. In addition to the studio update, the band reveal that they plan to begin touring in support of the effort in September. "Ire Works" is expected in stores this fall.
